First of all, we can all agree on one thing;

It’s not that easy to lose unwanted weight.

It’s even harder to achieve your desired body image, especially in this current society.

So how did I do this?

Well, it turns out you can acquire that hourglass figure many yearn for, in little time and with not as much effort as you may think.

Today, I am going to explain how I managed to accomplish my body image goals, and change my life. I’ll talk about the good and the bad, and will go into as much detail as I possibly can on the subject. But first let me start by explaining who I am…

Who am I?

I am a recent college graduate who has tried just about everything to lose weight. I was not necessarily overweight, but like most women, I felt that my body wasn’t quite where I wanted it to be and I wasn’t reaching my full potential. This was mainly because of the curse of my genes. I unfortunately used to have a somewhat boyish body, with not many curves and weirdly placed love handles.

I also had the muffin top curse (that my boyfriend liked for some odd reason.)

Let me ask you a question:

When was the last time you felt ultimately confident in the way you look? Felt sexy? Voluptuous? Vibrant?

If you’re like most women, you really have to think about that question, and I was definitely one of them.

Don’t get me wrong, there were  times that I was very confident with my body, but those were too far and few between.

Here’s the truth:

Achieving my ideal body image seemed to be a hassle.

I am a pretty active gal, so exercise was not the problem. I ate a normal American diet, was addicted to coffee and I indulged in fast food maybe once every other week.

I used to not have enough time to chase my body image goals. After college, most of my time was spent working and trying to chase my entrepreneurial goals. My work is over-demanding and the extra time I had, I spent trying to chase my goals.

So it seemed like achieving my ideal body image was not a priority, due to the fact that I did not have any free time to put into a serious routine.

Don’t get me wrong;

I did exercise and workout about three times a week, but it did not seem to be enough to get what I really wanted.

Another MAJOR issue keeping me from my ideal body was the level of motivation.

As much as I wanted to change my body image, the motivation wasn’t really there. So the goal became a kind of a background goal that I really wanted, but I could do without.

I saw a lot in the media about waist training and I remember thinking, “Nothing could possibly be this simple.”

I did some research and dug much deeper into as much as information as I could find online and the results were shocking.

Here’s the kicker;

There was no information out there about waist training or corset training.

I found a lot of companies that sell waist trainers, along with celebrity blogs and magazines bashing celebrities who waist train. It was somewhat disappointing because normally companies that sell a product have to educate you on what they are selling.

Unfortunately, all these other companies wanted to profit from insecurities that drive someone to purchase a waist trainer and they could care less about educating and helping women.

On the other side:

The rest of the information was just gossip blogs and magazines criticizing celebrities who use waist trainers.

It was those experiences that drove me to help found Royal Lioness.

I was forced to do a lot of research both online and offline to learn all that I could about waist trainers. I also dug deep into corset training and other similar niches.

All in all;

I came to the conclusion that it was worth a try.

A friend who sold waist trainers (who is now my business partner) gave me one to try, and guided me throughout the process and the things I should and shouldn’t do.

The one thing I loved most is the fact that she encouraged me not to succumb to mediocrity and keep working to be the ideal me.

She encouraged me to live the life that I see myself. She also helped me gain the motivation I so desperately needed. This is my personal review based on my experience and my results.

Before I knew all this mumbo jumbo on waist training and before I helped create a unique waist trainer, I was first a naive young lady who was simply just interested in the idea. However, the main question I was asking myself was, does waist training work?

My experience was different from most because I actually had a close friend who sold waist trainers and had a lot of evidence that convinced me to start. However, that did not stop me from researching.

Some of you may be skeptical on what a waist trainer is and what it does. Many confuse 21st century waist training with the old school corset training or tight lacing.

The practice was very popular in the Victorian times but has been something that has come back in a modern way. The oldies used leather and lace corsets with more than 24 steel bones, that basically restrain your waist ridiculously. Aside from the obvious health issues this caused, the garment just became less popular and was considered a hazardous garment.

As we progressed in time and our science and way of thinking continue to modernize, so did a lot of our old ideas. A waist trainer is basically the 21st century version of a waist corset, kind of like a reinvention of the wheel.

Old wheels did not have tires and rims, but new ones do.

The new garment is nowhere near or old school corsets. People refer to the modern day waist trainers as a corset just because of a lack of a better description. This confusion has led many to believe that the modern day waist trainers have the same health issues as corsets and work in the same way. The fact of the matter is, that is not true. You can find a handful of evidence pertaining to the issues caused by corsets, from 100 years ago to even now, but you will not find anything regarding modern day waist trainers.

However people still confuse the two, which is understandable. Anyway, regardless of these facts you may still be asking, is waist training safe? The fact of the matter is every thing has pros and cons. So let’s check out the pros and cons of waist training.

Pros vs Cons

Pros:

After reading so many reviews and articles, I was still a little skeptical because the information wasn’t really there. That did not stop me from experimenting though.

After all;

Based on the pros and cons I mentioned, I believe my waist trainer worked wonders! I even went a step further to help create a unique waist trainer that I think works even better.

Some critics and journalists have made a point that corsets have been proven to physically damage a woman’s body, causing intestines to, for lack of a better term, “squeeze” together and bruise organs around the stomach.

I do believe that wearing a hard, steel- boned corset could potentially damage a woman’s body for the rest of her life, but not a latex/rubber waist trainer because of it’s elasticity and agility.

After owning a corset, I have come to seriously appreciate the flexibility in my latex waist trainer. Corsets often left me feeling winded, out of breath and deeply uncomfortable. The steels bones within the corsets typically leave dents and scars on the torso and can take up to three days to dissolve. In other words, wearing a steel bone corset sucked.

The thing I liked about using my waist trainer is the fact that over time, the trainer reduced weight, suppressed my appetite and is very maneuverable yet comfortable. The best part however was seeing myself in the mirror with it on for the first few times, and watching my body slowly turn into the body I wanted.

It’s a feeling I cannot explain.

Imagine a glimpse into an ideal future; not necessarily a vague future, but one that you deem very possible given the fact that you are seeing it come to fruition. Seeing your self with an instant loss of 2-4 inches* off your waist dramatically improves your morale and motivation. It’s amazing how feeling better about my body transformed my spirit. It ignited an entrepreneurial fire in me and made me feel like I could accomplish anything. It was then that my friend and I became determined to help other women feel the very same way.

Unfortunately there is some bad news;

As amazing as this garment may seem, it does not show permanent results by itself. The truth of the matter is, in order for waist training to work wonders in the long run, you need to be active. The garment will work by itself, and you will see results, but if you want ideal results, then you will have to be active. I say this all the time because its true. There are two important facts with waist training that you have to understand. For you to really achieve the waist trainer results you want, you need to adopt a basic exercise routine. It doesn’t have to be intense, even just  20 minutes of some cardio or abdominal activity will do. The second fact is that there is nothing out there that can give you a perfect female body as quick and as definitive as a waist trainer.

The only alternative is surgery.

Waist trainers work miracles if you use it as a supplement to your exercise routines. A good example is the beautiful Tiger. Tiger is an already slim lady with an attractive body, but she did not have the hourglass figure. She needed to know how to get an hourglass figure for a competition she had. I believe waist training is for any lady who is either looking to know how to lose weight fast or gain an hourglass shape. Mostly, recent mothers like waist training because it helps them with losing baby weight post pregnancy.

My personal results

All I added was a simple piece of shapewear. But when I combined it with my hard work, my commitment (and, of course, my friend’s support), I lost 5 inches* in a little over a month! I almost didn’t recognize myself –and in more ways than one!
