Every year people around the world see the New Year as a great way to change things up in their lives. They set up a few goals, and they chase them for a time.

But with the jump forward, many find that changing overnight is not exactly simple. It’s so bad that within the first few weeks, there are millions of people that give up on their resolution and just go back to what they were doing before. If you have ever tested this notion of change out, and didn’t make it, you’re not alone. With this New Year in full effect, you may be thinking about what you need to do to change. You may be trying hard to make it through your goal, and are already considering dropping off of it. If that sounds like you, don’t panic, there are some things that you can do to make sure that you’re able to gain the upper hand in any resolution chase. The following tips are made for you, so that you can succeed with New Year’s resolutions once and for all.

  1. Losing Weight With A Little Help

First, look at the most popular solution that millions go forward with and it’s losing weight. They focus on changing in extremes. For instance, one person will go 100% vegan. They’ll completely ditch all dairy, all meat, and go with a full-scale change to vegetables. That sounds amazing, right? In theory that sounds great, and the results that come with this change could very well be amazing in time. However, that shock to the system is not an easy one to pull through. If you were to quit eating meat and dairy overnight, you would crave iron in time. Not only that, you could find yourself malnourished and back to eating meat and dairy in no time. It’s rough, no doubt.

This is not to say that you shouldn’t go forward with going vegan or making changes for your health. Instead, focus on smaller increments of change. New Year’s doesn’t mean that you need to have a revolutionary change. You don’t need to go to an extreme. Instead, try something simple that can help you out as you make baby steps. For instance, you could use waist trainers to help your waist diminish and invigorate the cells around the belly to start moving around. That movement will cause them to burn, and give you energy. Instead of setting a goal of losing a lot of weight, try to set a small goal within the first quarter of the near year. Plan on losing 10 pounds in the first quarter of the year, and you’ll see results come through a lot better.

2. Conquering Your Body Image Slowly

If you want a new body, and you’re tired of things that you’re doing, introduce change slowly. Take on waist trainers, for instance, and use them as part of your steps. Think of your journey like a staircase. Each step brings you upwards. Small steps should be made that can build up to help you make real change. Waist trainer options abound, and they can help you keep focused on your bigger goal. By simply having this on your body for your daily routine, you’ll have a constant reminder to keep your goals. This includes when you’re seated, and doing nothing. The trainer will help you sit up straight, improve your circulation, and much more. Give this time, and you’ll feel better about yourself, as the results start to trickle down. It also instantly gives you an hourglass figure and helps get rid of muffin top

3. Create Milestones For Your Goals

If you’re dead set on going with an extreme change, create milestones. Seriously, set a big goal first. Think of something big that you want to do with your new year. Once you do that, think about separating the bigger goal into quarters. Take an example from business. Businesses today have to separate their taxes into 4 quarters. These quarters make up the tax year, and they have to pay quarterly taxes to keep up with the demands of the IRS. These are complex for some, but they make tax returns way easier to manage.

With the example in mind, consider putting up your bigger goal into quarters, or even less. For instance, let’s say that you wanted to lose 50 pounds in your year. You could separate that into 4 separate quarters, and chase the goal throughout those quarters. By separating this in 4, you only have to lose 12 and a half pounds per quarter. That is a lot easier to manage than trying to get to the magical 50-pound number without change. Milestones help you stay on track and make change a little easier to manage, simple as that.

4. Get Help From Others

Do you want accountability? Tell everyone that you know about your change. Tell them that you’re going to be changing things up and that you’re going to need a helping hand. Ask them to remind you about these things, and even ask about your progress. You’ll find that everyone you know may be willing to mention things from time to time. To avoid the shame and failure of quitting on your resolution, you’ll have a slew of accountability partners, many of which may in fact join you on their quest to make changes themselves. Getting a helping hand is not a difficult matter. All you have to do is ask. Ask for people’s opinions, see what they say about how to stick to change, and you’ll have a new-found perspective on life, that’s for sure.

Overall, overcoming New Year’s resolution failures is tough. Many people don’t know how to do this, and don’t know where to even start. Today, you have a few tips above to help you move along with getting your changes made, and sticking to them. It’s easy to change, if you segment things out a little, and you add a little bit of help here and there. A helping hand can be a great opportunity to get results. You don’t need to be a new person in 24 hours, don’t push yourself too hard, or you could fail again.
